For The Love of Animals is an independently owned and family operated pet supply store.
For The Love of Animals, opening its doors on December 12, 2009, is an independent family run pet food and supply store located in the East end of Toronto - in the heart of Pape Village. We aim for mid to high end quality food and toys. Our goal is to sell the healthiest food possible (that doesn't require a prescription, of course) for your family pet. If you need an item that we currently don't carry, please ask and we'll do our best to get it in stock for you.
Owner Marilyn Murray believes in providing the best possible choices for all animals. We offer pet food and accessories to help improve your pets health and well being.
A strong believer in adopting animals rather then buying them, Marilyn has spent several years fostering guinea pigs for a local rescue and is well known within the rescue community. For The Love of Animals is a proud supporter of several local animal rescues.
For The Love of Animals reflects the passion Marilyn and her son Ian have for animals and their well being. Besides the obvious name, the products carried reflect the importance of health and fun. We operate quite differently from most larger pet stores. For starters, we listen and take the time to work together with pet owners to provide the best for their furry family member. We treat all customers (two and four legged) with respect and do our best to make them feel comfortable and welcome - like they are a part of our family too.
Marilyn is constantly doing research on various pet foods, supplies and animal behaviour to keep our knowledge base up to date. This allows us to share our knowledge with you and to carry supplies that will benefit your pet. Marilyn has also been writing articles on various pet care topics which you can read on our Pet Care page.
Our promise is that we will never sell anything that is alive, not even crickets, fish or mice used to feed other animals.
