February 2012 - It's hard to believe that February is just around the corner and we really haven't seen winter yet. This month I've included information about arthritis in dogs and ways you can help your furry loved one be more comfortable. A call also goes out for local animal rescues that you know who can use some extra help. Also reminder about our Senior Day and College / University student discounts, as well as our Sunday hours.

January 2012 - Welcome to our January newsletter. It's hard to believe we're about to enter into 2012, and what a year it's been. All of us at For The Love of Animals wish you a very happy and healthy 2012. This month I've included tips on how to keep your pet safe during the winter months, as well as reminder of our reduced holiday hours. We also announce our anniversary contest winners. We still have some holiday themed gifts for that special pet or pet lover in your life.

December 2011 - Welcome to our December newsletter. This month I've included tips on how to protect your pet during the holidays, as well as an interview we did with Toronto Observer's reporter, Michelle Grace. We have some exciting events happening to help us celebrate our 2nd anniversary! We also announce our special holiday hours and the arrival of holiday gifts for that special pet in your life.

November 2011 - The last few weeks we've had several customers coming in asking about flea control products and methods since their pets are now spending more time indoors. With winter knocking on our doors, we have some information on flea control for both your pet and your home. We also introduce you to the Pomeranian & Small Breed Rescue. You might remember them from the Pape Festival.

October 2011 - With winter just around the corner, we have some great information on how to keep your pet safe and healthy during those long cold days. We talk about some important changes to our Rescue Discount program. We introduce you to Trooper's Fund, our new Wednesday's Senior Discount Day and a reminder about our Student Discount program. We also announce our Thanksgiving weekend hours and a reminder that we're now open on Sunday's.

September 2011 - This month we have some great information on how to take care of your pets teeth. We want to wish all our students heading back to school a very successful and fun year and we talk a bit about our new Student Discount Program. We announce our new Sunday hours and list our long weekend hours. Also, a reminder about our guinea pig photo contest that ends soon.

August 2011 - For those of you that would like to give your dog or cat some daily exercise, I've included some tips on how to get your furry friend moving towards a healthier life and possibly even some weight loss. Also, we announce long weekend hours.

July 2011 - For those of you that will be getting a new kitten soon, I've included some tips on how to make litter training your new furry friend easier. Also, we announce our contest winners and our Canada Day weekend hours.

June 2011 - Now that the warmer weather is here we have quite a bit of information on heartworm prevention. Also, a reminder about the Pape Village annual sidewalk sale and street festival on June 4.

May 2011 - Now that the warmer weather is here we have quite a bit of information on the dangers of summer with pets. Heat stroke and heat exhaustion are usually preventable conditions and we've included tips and information to help protect your pet from these ailments. Also, a reminder that in May heartworm prevention begins, so don't forget to make an appointment and have your dog protected.

April 2011 - With Spring just around the corner, we've included tips and information on flea control to help you prepare. We announce our new extended hours effective April 1st. Also, we have a plea on not giving live rabbits (or any other live animal) as holiday gifts.

March 2011 - For The Love of Animals is proud to be sponsoring 3 dates for a free 15 minute Pet Reiki session with Leisa Peacock. Leisa is a Level III Reiki Practitioner and the owner of Escential Inspirations. See all the details below. Also we've included some tips on providing regular dental care for your pet.

February 2011 - We introduce you the Cherry Street Cats, a wonderful group of people dedicated to a colony of feral cats in the east end of Toronto. Also, a reminder that our clearance sale continues with a large selection of items discounted 10 to 75% off.

January 2011 - This month we have a special 1 week clearance sale happening and we introduce you to Kyle, our new face around For The Love of Animals. Also, a reminder of our holiday hours and that there is still a good selection of holiday themed toys and treats available for the special pet in your life.

December 2010 - This month I've included tips on how to protect your pet during the holidays. We have some exciting events happening to help us celebrate our first anniversary. We also announce our special holiday hours and the arrival of holiday gifts for that special pet in your life.

November 2010 - This month I've included tips on how to protect your pet during the winter months.

October 2010 - This month I've included a chapter on the dietary needs of guinea pigs from the book I wrote in 2008, Caring For Your Guinea Pig. You can find all the chapters from my book on our web site under Pet Care. Also, a reminder about our pet photo contest.

September 2010 - If you're getting a new kitten soon, you might be interested in the litter training information added to our Pet Care section. Also, a reminder about our upcoming pet photo contest.

August 2010 - Now with summer in full swing, we tend to hear a lot more dogs barking. Before neighbours complain about dog barking, it's best to try and train your dog to bark for only good reasons. We've included tips on how to help your dog stop excessive barking. We also talk about our upcoming photo contest.

July 2010 - Sometimes pet owners have to leave their pets for long periods of time during the day. Unfortunately not all dogs can handle this separation so we've included tips how to help your dog with separation anxiety.

June 2010 - We've included tips and information to help keep your pets teeth in top shape. Also, a reminder that the Pape Village annual Sidewalk Sale and Street Festival is on May 29th and we would love to see you there.
